Titwala Ganapati Mandir ( Mahaganpati )

Titwala ( Mahaganpati )

It is equivalent to "ASHTAVINAYAKA" & one of the Mahaganpati. Heavy rush of devotees is there on Chaturthi, Sankasthi & Angarika. In olden time ashram of sage Kanva was located here. When King Dushyanta abandoned his fiancee Shakuntala, she came here & tayed in the ashram. She was advised by sage Durvasa and Kanva to establish shrine of Siddhivinayak, which was done by her. After worshipping Siddhivinayak she & Dushyanta got united. Shahad is near to Titwala and the Birla group of company constructed a beautiful Vithal temple in Shahad. Thousands of devotees visit daily to these temples in the naturally green places. It is 25 km far from Titwala.
